The short version
TVGO works on your home Wi-Fi. We don't sell your data, and most of what the app does never leaves your home. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what you can control.
What stays on your phone
- Your list of connected TVs, nicknames, and last-used preferences.
- The short codes used to connect your TVs.
- Anything you say to the voice search while you're using it.
These are stored on your phone and never sent to us.
What happens on your home Wi-Fi
Finding your TV, connecting to it, and sending button presses all go directly between your phone and your TV over Wi-Fi. None of it passes through our servers.
What we do collect
- Crash reports — to find and fix bugs. We see what went wrong, your phone model, and your operating system version. No personal data.
- General usage stats — things like how many people visited a page or used a feature, and where new installs come from. We can't tie any of this back to you personally.
- Purchase receipts if you subscribe to TVGO Pro, only so we can confirm your subscription with the App Store or Play Store.
Permissions
- Home Wi-Fi access — needed so TVGO can see your TVs. Never used for anything else.
- Microphone — only on while you hold the voice button.
- Bluetooth / Location (Android) — Android requires these to let TVGO look for nearby TVs.
Your choices
You can turn off usage stats from Settings → Privacy. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. Email tvgo@carpediemcreations.io if you'd like us to delete anything else tied to your device on our end.
